We stayed in Guissa room and it lovely and spacious. We also found the location to be very convenient to get around the medina, for restaurants and to see the local sights. Although it didn't spoil our stay, we did find there were some basis items that needed some attention. For example the curtains and sofa in the room were quite stained, as was the furniture on the roof terrace. The breakfast area could have been charming but the tablecloths and throw covers on the furniture were faded and ripped making it a bit depressing. We were provided with a carafe of water each day (as compared to bottled water elsewhere). I am all for being environmentally friendly but the lid on the carafe was mouldy, as were the tiles in the shower. It was great having Mr Mohammad on site and he was very nice however the reception team was not welcoming or helpful. On the last day we basically walked out without a good bye or thank you. Perhaps they need someone onsite actively managing the place. For these reasons I would not recommend it to others. I think there are probably other places where tourists would be made more welcome.
